DIR-3 KYC for OPC Directors, handled by CA Rinky Vishwakarma, ICAI 177507, at SVT & Associates.
The director of a One Person Company, including any nominee director, holds a DIN and must file DIR-3 KYC Web once every three financial years by 30 June. In an OPC one blocked signature can stop every filing, since there may be only one signing director. SVT & Associates files it for ₹999.

Yes. DIR-3 KYC is a compliance under Rule 12A of the Companies (Appointment and Qualification of Directors) Rules, 2014, administered by the Ministry of Corporate Affairs. SVT & Associates is a Chartered Accountancy firm; filings are prepared, and where certification is required certified, by a practising ICAI-registered CA.

An OPC often has only one active director, so a deactivated DIN is more disruptive than on a larger board. There is no co-director who can sign in your place, which makes it worth protecting.
A nominee holds a DIN too, so the nominee's KYC matters even though the role is quiet. Check both people's status when you review your OPC's compliance.
If your OPC also has a nominee, add the nominee's DIN and contact details to the same checklist. Keeping both people's KYC dates together makes the annual compliance review one conversation instead of two.

Under Rule 12A as amended with effect from 31 March 2026, DIR-3 KYC is due by 30 June of the year following every third consecutive financial year. Directors who had completed KYC before the change have their next filing due by 30 June 2028. Send us your DIN and we confirm your own date.
No. The annual requirement with a 30 September deadline was replaced by a once-in-three-years filing. What has not changed is the duty to report a new mobile number, email address or residential address within 30 days, which applies at any point in your three-year cycle.
The DIN is deactivated, which blocks the director from signing MCA filings for every company or LLP they serve. Reactivation is done through DIR-3 KYC Web with a flat government fee of ₹5,000. Our professional fee of ₹999 is charged separately, and we confirm the position before you pay.
Only when the filing updates your mobile number, email address or residential address. That kind of filing needs the director's digital signature and certification by a practising CA, CS or CMA. A routine three-yearly KYC with no changes is verified through OTPs sent to your registered mobile and email.
For a routine filing you need your DIN, PAN and access to the mobile number and email registered against the DIN so you can approve OTPs. NRI and foreign directors add passport details. If you are updating an address, keep a recent address proof and your digital signature ready.
Report it through DIR-3 KYC Web within 30 days of the change. This is required even when your three-year KYC is not yet due, and it does not restart your cycle. Because it alters your record, the form needs your digital signature and a CA's certification.
Once we have your DIN, PAN and your OTPs, we typically complete the filing within about one hour during working hours. MCA portal processing and status updates on the DIN itself are outside our control, so we share the acknowledgement as soon as it is generated rather than promise a fixed MCA timeline.
SVT & Associates is a Chartered Accountancy firm, and the filing is prepared and, where certification is required, certified by a practising ICAI-registered CA with a UDIN. You receive the MCA acknowledgement with the Service Request Number so you have proof of every filing we make.
Yes. The nominee holds a DIN and has the same obligation, in the same cycle. Because a nominee may become the director in certain situations, their DIN should always be kept active. Send your DIN and PAN and we confirm the exact position for your case before any fee is charged.
Reactivate it through DIR-3 KYC Web, paying the ₹5,000 fee. Until then, filings needing that signature will fail. For a single-director company this is worth fixing quickly, since no co-director can sign in your place. Send your DIN and PAN and we confirm the exact position for your case before any fee is charged.
