what is it

What is a Solvency Certificate?

A certified statement that you or your business can meet a specific financial obligation, a tender's bid capacity, a contract value, a loan or guarantee amount. It's closely related to a net worth certificate, but tied to a defined figure rather than a general asset statement.

bank-issued

Bank Solvency Certificate

Some government tenders specifically require a certificate issued by your bank, based on your account history and banking relationship. Check your tender document's exact wording.

CA-issued, most common

CA Solvency / Net Worth Certificate

Widely accepted for tenders, visas, courts and private contracts. Backed by your financials, audited where applicable, and carries a verifiable UDIN.

Tender Document Asks for a 'Bank Solvency Certificate'?

Some authorities want it specifically from a bank. We'll tell you upfront if that's your case, so you don't pay for the wrong document.

questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Is a CA solvency certificate the same as a bank solvency certificate? +
Not quite. A bank solvency certificate is issued by your bank based on your account history. A CA solvency certificate is based on your verified financials and carries a UDIN. Most tenders, visas, courts and contracts accept either, but some specifically require a bank certificate, always check your exact wording, we'll confirm before you pay.
How is solvency different from a net worth certificate? +
A net worth certificate is a general statement of assets minus liabilities. A solvency certificate confirms your ability to meet a specific financial figure, a bid value, a contract amount, or a guarantee. The underlying verification is similar.
What documents decide the solvency amount? +
Primarily your bank statements, property and investment documents, and income tax returns for the last 2–3 years. The certified amount reflects what these documents actually support.
Can this be used for government tenders? +
In most cases, yes, but always check the exact wording in your tender document first. If it specifically says 'bank solvency certificate', we'll tell you upfront rather than issue the wrong document.
How long does it take? +
Once documents are shared and the CA has verified the figures, certificates are typically signed the same day. Cases needing property valuation or multiple asset classes take longer, we tell you upfront.
