Local context

What do taxpayers in Gurgaon usually need help with?

Gurgaon has many senior employees of multinational companies. Foreign stock awards, foreign bank accounts and the tax return schedules for foreign income and assets are common requirements, together with high-value flat purchases.

The people we most often see in Gurgaon are corporate offices and multinational captive units, start-ups, consultants and many executives with stock-linked pay. Haryana does not levy a state professional tax on salaries as far as we know, so the planning focus is income tax, GST and TDS (please confirm the current position for your case).

Illustrative case

What does a typical case look like in Gurgaon?

Illustrative example (not a real client): A Gurgaon executive receives 200 RSUs of a US parent that vest during the year. The market value at vesting is taxed as salary in India, the shares and the foreign brokerage account go into Schedule FA, and any US tax withheld can be claimed as credit if the Indian tax is higher on the same income. We would prepare all three together.

Every case is different; we run your actual numbers and documents before advising.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to visit the office to use your services from Gurgaon?
No. Most clients from Gurgaon share documents on WhatsApp or email, sign authorisations online and speak to the CA on a call or video. The office is in Goregaon West, Mumbai, and you are welcome to visit by appointment.
Does Haryana have its own tax rules?
Income tax and the central GST law are the same across India. State differences are in professional tax, stamp duty and the valuation rate used for property (the collector rate in Haryana), and in state GST administration. Haryana does not levy a state professional tax on salaries as far as we know, so the planning focus is income tax, GST and TDS (please confirm the current position for your case).
Do you help with foreign bank accounts and Schedule FA for Gurgaon employees?
Yes. Foreign assets held at any time in the calendar year must be reported in Schedule FA, even when no income arises. Non-reporting can attract a penalty under the Black Money Act. We list every account and asset with its value.
Is Haryana collector rate used for property tax calculations?
The collector rate is the stamp duty benchmark in Haryana and is used for section 50C and for TDS under 194-IA purposes. We compare it with your price before you sign.
How do I get a quote for my case in Gurgaon?
Fill the form on this page or WhatsApp us your situation. A CA reviews your documents free of charge and sends a fixed fee in writing before any work begins. Government charges are shown separately.
What is the last date to file an income tax return?
For individuals and HUFs who do not need an audit, the usual due date is 31 July after the financial year ends. Cases needing a tax audit normally get 31 October, and companies with transfer pricing reports 30 November. The government sometimes extends dates, so we confirm the notified date for your year before we start.
What happens if I miss the ITR due date?
You can still file a belated return under section 139(4), generally until 31 December of the assessment year, but with a late fee under section 234F (₹5,000, or ₹1,000 if total income is up to ₹5 lakh) and interest under 234A. Most losses cannot be carried forward in a belated return, which can cost more than the fee itself.
Do I need to e-verify my return after filing?
Yes. A return is treated as filed only after e-verification, which must be completed within 30 days of filing. You can verify with Aadhaar OTP, net banking, a pre-validated bank account or a demat account. We guide you through it and confirm the processed status on the portal afterwards.
