Organisations we register & support
A charitable trust is the fastest NGO structure to set up. It needs two trustees, a trust deed and a registered office, and it has no annual general meeting or minimum membership requirement.
The deed is the most important document. Its objects clause must describe charitable purposes as defined in the Income Tax Act, or 12A and 80G approval can be delayed. We draft the objects, trustee powers, succession and dissolution clauses with that in mind.
After registration we apply for the trust's PAN, open its bank account and, within the time window, file Form 10A for 12A and 80G.
A frequent mistake is copying a deed from another trust. Its objects, trustee powers and dissolution clause then do not match your activities, and 12A is queried. We also record who the settlor is and how vacancies among trustees will be filled.
Timeline and cost: deed drafting and registration usually take one to two weeks once trustees' documents are ready. Stamp duty and registration charges are set by the state and paid at actuals, and our professional fee is fixed at the start.
A charitable Trust, Society or Section 8 Company is the legal wrapper for your NGO. 12A exempts it from income tax, 80G lets your donors claim a deduction, CSR-1 lets it receive CSR funds, and FCRA lets it accept foreign donations. Most NGOs eventually need several of these together.
Governed by the Indian Trusts Act / your state's Public Trusts Act. Needs only 2 trustees, no AGM. Best for small charitable bodies and family-run philanthropy, common across Maharashtra and South India.
Registered under the Societies Registration Act, 1860 (or the state variant). Needs 7 or more members and a managing committee. Suits membership-driven and community organisations.
Registered under the Companies Act, 2013 with the ROC. Needs at least 2 directors. Preferred by institutional and CSR donors, and generally the smoothest route for FCRA.
Not a back office. Every structure recommendation and filing is reviewed personally.
20 years in practice. Advises founders on the right NGO structure for their goals, drafts objects clauses built for 12A/80G approval, and flags FCRA eligibility upfront rather than after a rejection.
No copy-paste deeds. Every draft is reviewed by a practising CA before it's filed.
Registration certificates, 12A/80G approval orders and FCRA registration are all issued through government portals with their own reference numbers.
We understand your goals and recommend Trust, Society or Section 8.
Trust Deed / MOA & Rules drafted with a 12A/80G-ready objects clause.
Filed with the Sub-Registrar, Registrar of Societies or ROC.
PAN applied, then Form 10A filed for 12A and 80G.
FCRA when eligible; annual audit, ITR-7 and returns thereafter.
Government/stamp duty/ROC fees are separate, paid by you directly, we never mark them up.
| Service | Professional Fee | Govt. / Stamp Duty Fees |
|---|---|---|
| Trust Registration (Deed + Sub-Registrar filing) | ₹5,999 | At actuals |
| Society Registration | ₹6,999 | At actuals |
| Section 8 Company Registration | ₹9,999 | At actuals (ROC fees) |
| 12A & 80G Registration (Form 10A) | ₹4,999 | Nil |
| CSR-1 Registration | ₹2,999 | Nil |
| FCRA Registration (Form FC-3) | ₹9,999 | ₹5,000 (govt. fee) |
| Annual NGO Compliance (Audit + ITR-7 + Form 10B) | Starting ₹7,999/year | Nil |
Unlike a single certificate, NGO registration is a bundle of separate government filings, each with its own effort and timeline. We quote per service so you only pay for what your NGO actually needs, and combine services into a package quote on request.
| Reason for Rejection / Delay | What We Check First |
|---|---|
| Vague or non-charitable objects clause | Drafted against the Income Tax Act's definition of "charitable purpose" |
| PAN vs Aadhaar address mismatch for trustees | Cross-checked before filing |
| Missing landlord NOC for registered office | NOC / rent agreement verified upfront |
| 12A/80G filed after the 3-month deadline post-registration | Filing timeline tracked and reminded |
| FCRA applied before the 3-year eligibility window | Eligibility checked, Prior Permission suggested if needed |
| Provisional 12A/80G not converted to regular registration in time | 5-year renewal deadline tracked for you |
