Quick answer

A stock certificate in Chennai is a CA-signed statement of a business's stock and book debts on a given date. Chennai auto-component, electronics and trading businesses use it for bank CC/OD drawing power, limit renewals and GST ITC-01 claims above ₹2 lakh. Stock certificates for Chennai's auto, electronics and import-led businesses

Chennai is often called the Detroit of Asia for its car and commercial-vehicle plants, and the Sriperumbudur–Oragadam corridor is home to both automotive and electronics manufacturing. Electronics assemblers and their suppliers hold components with short product cycles: a part that is current today can be obsolete when a model changes. We ask about model changeovers and show obsolete or end-of-life components separately at realisable value.

Many Chennai businesses import raw material or components through the Chennai and Kamarajar (Ennore) ports. Imported stock passes through several stages (in transit, at the port awaiting clearance, in your warehouse) and its cost includes customs duty, freight and clearing charges. We show goods in transit separately, build landed cost correctly, and check that IGST paid on imports is not added to stock value when you claim it as input tax credit.

At landed cost: the purchase price plus basic customs duty, freight, insurance and clearing charges. IGST paid on import is left out if you claim it as input tax credit, because you get it back. Goods still at sea or at the port are shown separately as goods in transit.
They are valued at the price they can realistically be sold or used for, often scrap value, and shown separately. Banks usually exclude such stock from drawing power, so separating it now avoids a sudden cut when a stock auditor reviews ageing and model data.
Yes. Chennai clients share stock summaries, import documents, debtor and creditor lists and the bank's format online. We send a draft, then the signed certificate with UDIN. If the bank wants a physical count, that is quoted separately, in writing, before any visit.
A practising Chartered Accountant. SVT & Associates is a firm of Chartered Accountants in Goregaon West, Mumbai, and certificates are reviewed and signed by CA Rinky Vishwakarma, FCA, ICAI membership number 177507. Each certificate is on firm letterhead with the CA's signature, membership number, stamp and a UDIN.
Yes. ICAI has made a Unique Document Identification Number mandatory on all certificates issued by Chartered Accountants since 1 February 2019. Your bank, the GST officer or an insurer can check the UDIN at udin.icai.org, which shows the signing CA's name and membership number and confirms the document is genuine.
The standard fee is ₹1,999 plus GST for one location and one statement date, with books up to date. Urgent same-day certification is ₹2,999 plus GST, and monthly bank statements on a yearly retainer are ₹1,499 plus GST per statement. There is no government fee. Physical verification and multi-location cases are quoted in writing before work starts.
Usually one working day after we receive complete documents, if your stock register or Tally data is up to date. Urgent cases can be signed the same day. Manual records, several godowns or a physical count take longer, and we tell you the timeline before you pay.
No. You ask for a stock certificate yourself, and it confirms your stock position on a date. A stock audit is appointed and paid for by the bank, usually from its own panel, and includes a physical count and review. We can help you prepare for a stock audit, but the bank chooses the auditor.
At the lower of cost and net realisable value, as Accounting Standard AS 2 and Ind AS 2 require. Valuing stock at selling price is one of the most common reasons a bank's stock auditor cuts drawing power. The valuation basis is stated on every certificate we issue.
A stock register or Tally stock summary, purchase and sales registers for the period, a debtors ageing list, a list of unpaid creditors for goods, the bank's stock statement format and sanction letter, and the stock insurance policy. For GST ITC-01, purchase invoices with supplier GSTINs are also needed.
