Quick answer
A stock certificate for an agri-commodity business is a CA-signed statement of grains, pulses, spices, cotton, jute or other produce held on a date, by quantity, quality and location. Traders, rice millers and processors use it for bank drawing power, warehouse-receipt finance, limit renewals and GST ITC-01 claims.

Seasonal stock, warehouses and goods held for others
Agricultural stock is seasonal and often stored away from the business, in rented godowns, cold storage or accredited warehouses. Where stock is in a warehouse registered with the Warehousing Development and Regulatory Authority (WDRA), an electronic negotiable warehouse receipt can itself be used as security. We list each location with its receipts, value produce at the lower of cost and current market price, and note moisture loss and storage shrinkage, which reduce weight over time.
Some stock in an agri business belongs to someone else. Paddy received for custom milling under government procurement belongs to the procurement agency until the milled rice is delivered, and produce held on commission belongs to the farmer. We exclude such stock from your own stock, show it as a memorandum item, and certify only goods you own and have paid for.
