The trial balance shows the balances. The year-end work decides whether those balances are right: stock is valued, expenses are matched to the year in which they occurred, depreciation is computed, provisions are made and doubtful debts are reviewed.
Each adjustment is documented in a working paper, so the auditor can follow the number to its source. Well-prepared working papers shorten audit time and reduce queries that otherwise arrive in batches over several weeks.
A company must hold its annual general meeting within the prescribed time after year end, then file the financial statements and the annual return with the registrar within the stated number of days of the meeting. For many private companies the meeting is due by 30 September.
Tax audit, where applicable, has its own due date for the audit report and the income-tax return. We map each date for your entity, tell you what is due next and keep working papers ready in the same file for all the filings.
| Item | Usual date |
|---|---|
| Financial year end | 31 March |
| Company AGM (private companies, usual) | By 30 September |
| Financial statements in AOC-4 | Within 30 days of AGM |
| Annual return in MGT-7 | Within 60 days of AGM |
| Tax audit report, where applicable | 30 September |

in View LinkedIn profileNo. An audit must be done by an independent auditor. This plan prepares the accounts and schedules and supports the auditor with queries. If you want SVT & Associates to act as auditor, that is a separate engagement with its own fee and independence checks.
We first reconstruct the books from bank statements and vouchers through the backlog clean-up service, then prepare the accounts. The backlog fee depends on the number of months and the volume, and we quote it after seeing a sample so the annual accounts are built on reliable data.
Yes. We prepare the balance sheet, profit and loss account and schedules for proprietorships, partnerships, LLPs and companies, in the format their law requires. The same working papers support the income-tax return and any tax audit that applies. Companies also receive the notes required by law.
SVT & Associates is an ICAI-registered Chartered Accountancy firm. Every account is supervised and reviewed by CA Rinky Vishwakarma, Fellow Chartered Accountant, ICAI Membership No. 177507. Where a certificate or attest report is issued, it is signed by a practising CA and carries a UDIN.
After a short consultation and receipt of your documents, onboarding usually takes three to five working days, and the first monthly books are delivered within seven days of receiving complete data. If a filing deadline is close, we handle that first and then complete the wider setup.
Yes. As a Chartered Accountancy firm we are bound by the ICAI Code of Ethics on professional confidentiality. Your records are accessed only by staff working on your account, are shared through controlled folders or your own software, and are never given to third parties without your written consent or a legal requirement.
We work in your existing software, whether Tally Prime, Tally ERP 9, Zoho Books, QuickBooks or Busy, so you do not need to switch. Your licence and data remain yours at all times, and a full export of your books is available whenever you ask for it.
Fees are fixed and confirmed in writing after we review one sample month of your data. Our fee and GST are shown on separate lines, and accounting has no government fee. Work outside the agreed scope, such as a backlog clean-up, is priced separately and agreed with you before it begins.
Yes. Most of our work is delivered online across India, using shared folders, your accounting software, video calls and WhatsApp. Our office is in Goregaon West, Mumbai, where local clients can meet the CA in person, but no visit is needed to start or continue the service.
Monthly plans are not locked in, and you can end the service by giving us notice. You will receive your books, reconciliations and working papers in an exportable form. The Refund Policy linked in the footer explains how any advance payment is treated.
